Help for Families in Need and Guidance for Volunteering, Making Donations

VOLUNTEERS: As Canyons District schools are practicing social distancing, we do not have many volunteer opportunities at this time. We encourage parents to continue to work with their neighborhood schools to meet local volunteering needs. Or, sign up  to be “on call” if the need arises by joining our volunteer registry. Simply email your name and contact information to susan.edwards@canyonsdistrict.org or call 801-826-5171.

DONATIONS:
The Canyons Education Foundation, CSD’s non-profit arm, is encouraging community members to use their time and resources to support the many local businesses and families disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Though not actively seeking donations, the Foundation created a special fund to be used to support Canyons District families who have been hardest hit by the coronavirus outbreak. Patrons may also consider donating hygiene or non-perishable food items to the pantries run by our traditional high schools. Though we are practicing social distancing, it’s still possible to grab takeout meals from your favorite local restaurant. Or purchase a gift certificate to a local store, hair salon, or sports and entertainment venue.
